There's no way that a staring at a computer monitor can compare with the viewing the foliage that Midwestern deciduous woods display in October. This year is predicted to be one of the best foliage years ever, and this week is absolutely perfect "Indian summer"-type weather (75 degrees, blue skies). One is granted too few such occasions in a lifetime, and as one enters the "autumn" of one's own life, one becomes more covetous of that time. So just a few posts per day this week...

Have you noticed how wonderful it smells outside this year?
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that's especially true of the burgundy red trees (as in the top photo); photos don't come close.
