Brilliant match of the lyrics to the video content (the return from Tulsa).
And we all believe this:
This morning, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany insisted on Fox News that Trump was actually happy with the sleepy, low energy crowd. “The president was not angry at all,” she said. “The president was quite energized. I was with him after the rally. It was a huge success. His speech got rave reviews. He was in good spirits on Marine One.”

ReplyDeleteHe looks tired. Very tired. He's 73, obese and out of shape. Perhaps a cheering full house might have energized him but alas not to be. Only 4 1/2 more months to go. Can he stand the pace?
ReplyDelete4 1/2 months to the election. Another 2 1/2 months to burn down the Whitehouse before leaving.
DeleteWhenever the White House puts out this BS, I think of that old joke: Don't piss on my leg and tell me that it's raining.

ReplyDeleteHaving recently discovered the bardcore genre (medieval-styled covers of modern songs), I'll offer this version of "Creep" for your listening pleasure.

Nicely done - especially the harmony on the vocals. Added to the body of the text. Tx, Leprae.

The Trump version of the Putin walk
ReplyDeleteQUESTION TO MINNESOTASTAN: Can you list ANYTHING that is good and positive (and not in a sarcastic way) about Donald Trump and/or his specific policies? Seriously, I'm interested in how the other half thinks of him. Is he like Hitler, about which NOTHING POSITIVE IS PERMITTED TO BE SAID/WRITTEN? I mean, Hitler was about as evil a leader as the world has seen, but you can't even say things like "Well, he did really love his mother," or that such--ha!
ReplyDeleteAaron, I read your question, then walked away and pondered it for over an hour while doing other things. And now, even though I'm somewhat mellowed by cannabis, I cannot think of a single behavior or personality trait in Donald Trump that I would find commendable. His believers consider him a truth-teller, but he is at heart a con man; I have had personal experience falling victim to a (cheap) con man trick, so I know how people can be absolutely fooled by certain personalities. But objectively I can think of nothing that he has said or done that I consider admirable. He even cheats at golf, which to me is anathema.
