Intolerance

People of all races and religions behave badly at times.  In this case a Hindu prayer was interrupted in the Senate chambers (by spectators, not Senators).  It's painful to watch.

  1. I presume they think they're doing god's work. One wonders what other bizarre things they get up to "in the lord's name".

  3. George Carlin said it best, regarding the ten commandments: "They say you shall not kill, yet that's negotiable depending on whether that person prays to a different God than you pray to." HYPOCRITES.

  4. How very un-Christlike. What kind of sick mind drives someone to lie in wait to do this in the Senate chambers?

    1. The same folks that accept tyranny as 'our' fault for disappointing their god...
*Drive all the way there to make yourself known for this? THIS? Of all the constitutional cornholing going on and in front of the world you decide THIS is worth acting the fool over?
Losing my faith was easy compared to how painful losing my faith in the USA has been...

    2. Yes - a good point. Do they really consider this the most urgent of all things that could demand their attention.

  5. Its mildly reassuring to know that this video was first posted five years ago. Why I find it reassuring to know that this is not something new, I don't know. Maybe knowing they have been acting this way for so long takes some of the incredulity out of it, and makes the current crop of idiots seem rather mundane. Doe s that make sense?

  6. I can only hope these cretins were unceremoniously ejected from the chamber.

  7. As disgusted as I am by this appalling intolerance, I'm also a little confused as to why the Senate opens with a prayer at all.
