"Major Tom" was released 40 years ago

It's been a while since I've blogged a rock video. I was reminded today of the Major Tom character created by David Bowie. Embedded above is Bowie's original 1969 Space Oddity music video, and one-hit-wonder Peter Schilling's Major Tom (Coming Home) from 1983, complete with carhops carrying burgers and milkshakes.
