This is a disturbing video. It's one of a set of seven posted at Popgive today - all apparently filmed by the same people, showing different ways of breaking into locked cars by way of the trunk, or using magnets, or using a taser. This one just requires a plumber's plunger.
Perhaps these are not "sophisticated" cars. Perhaps these techniques would not work on other brands or models. I don't know...
All of these methods are completely bogus.
ReplyDeleteA car theif will break the window or use a jimmy. They don't go around carrying plungers or other "trick" gadgets. They are interested in getting in, getting done, and getting gone.
Or maybe someone just hit their clicker when the guy pretended to use the plunger to pop the lock.
ReplyDeleteIt's not bogus, this just happened to my brothers car tonight. They got in the trunk with a plunger but luckily nothing is stored in there and he has an alarm so the little fuckers left the plunger and ran for it.
ReplyDeleteThat's how I stumbled across this website...the plunger method only works on key less entry vehicles. My car does not have key less entry and it's parked in the street with no alarm, they didn't get in to my car.
