Video of freefall from 30,000 feet
"If you want to know what you would see if you fell from 30,000 feet then have a look at the film 'G' by filmmaker Rolf Gibbs. He intentionally dropped a camera from an airplane. It was weighted to fall lens down and protected so that the video would survive the inevitable collision with the earth. It is a peculiar and amazing film."
Text above from the Free Fall Research Page. What amazes me about the video is not the content per se - it's actually rather boring - but the realization of how long it takes to free fall from that height. You would have quite a long time to a) ponder your fate, b) come up with a strategy for survival, or c) scream.
