I’d also like to mention here that the dog’s owners are really great people who have been nothing but kind to Bridger and his family. We feel no resentment toward them at all, and—if anything—there’s only been an increase of love between our families as a result of this incident."
Yeah, 'Impressive' is right! I remember, when I was a kid, a BIG dog got loose and ran and my sister and I. My sister ran and I just stood there, knowing dogs liked to chase things. The dog when after her and ignored me. So I'm not a hero like this kid, but I did know my sister could run a lot faster than I could (dog did not catch her).
that kid is a rock star! I'm guessing his sister will (rightfully) worship him all her life- kind of like I still do with my big brother for these long 50+ years... I'm also glad to hear there's no animosity between the families-

I'm impressed that your sister outran the dog, because most dogs can clock a 15-second hundred yard dash.
DeleteShe had a head start on it and ran into a gated yard... but she was still pretty fast.
ReplyDeletewhat's become of the dog that bit that boy?
ReplyDeleteI-)
That's one amazing kid with the old soul of a devoted warrior born!
