Of course you can, if you're chasing it. It can only run that fast for a minute or two, then it has to rest. There is no animal that can run, than can escape a chasing human without hiding.
We are much maligned for our physical gifts relative to the rest of mammalia, but nothing, and I mean NOTHING can as far and as long as humans.
