The Bouncing Pebble Toad
I had seen still photos of this inhabitant of Venezuela's amazing tepuis on several websites, but hadn't seen a video clip until I found this one at Titam et le Sirop d'Erable this morning.
The toad's defense mechanism is remarkably similar to that of the Saharan Rolling Spider.
He looks so sad right at the end. I suppose that's because he has to climb painfully back to the top. For whatever reason...
