there's a longer version of this on youtube, which includes about a minute of the song, and a close up of the guitar post-"re-entry". it's dead. someone in the video is heard at that point saying "this is the second time that strap has broken!"
i can think of several other things i'd avoid doing if it was a strap that had broken before.
Personally, I think the less of the song in the video, the better. I watched a bunch of guitar swings/spins on various videos this morning, and it seems that they are invariably accompanied by forgettable music.
btw, some commenters on this video made note of the reaction of the drummer, who watches the entire trajectory of the flying guitar.
