"We apologize for the inconvenience..."
One of the enjoyable aspects of the "Occupy" movement is the variety of imaginative signs displayed at the protests. This one in London, via The Guardian.
When I last looked (this morning), the cathedral chaps were backpedalling as fast as they could, having inexplicably failed to allow the protest to continue. The safety issues were largely imaginary, and the few real bits could have been easily dealt with. Just what they thought they were playing at, few here in the UK can imagine.
From what I saw yesterday, Occupy Oakland was a huge success. I had the pleasure of marching alongside a New Orleans-style band. Very festive. I love the creativity and positive energy. Of course, what OWS is fighting is really serious (unlike that nonsense Congress wastes its time on - "In God We Trust").
(Black bloc are troublemakers, or perhaps even agent provocateurs, and should not be confused with OWS protesters!)
