The first time I was bowling and saw this technique used by someone on an adjacent lane, I thought it was a teenager showing off. Last week I saw a report of a professional rolling a 300 using two hands. Now this video from Bolivia.
The maneuver may or may not have advantages. The other point, mentioned but not emphasized in the video, is that these young men are practicing 5 hours per day.

i think i'll stick with my technique where i stand at the end of the lane and lean the way i want the ball to go, sometimes waving my arms that direction and whispering "c'mon, c'mon, c'mon"
