A local grocery store had a sign listing the price for 'phenol' right by the fennel bulbs for about a year.
I don't understand... What is "gearl" supposed to be?
It's "cearl", and is a misspelling of "cereal."Note the crossed-out "S" from the initial effort...
Oh my.Well, it could have been a dyslexic person. I'm going to optimistically assume such.
This is clever advertising at work: the cearl costs just $2.99 but they don't have any stocked... ;-)
I'm just going to assume that 'cearl' is some sort of complicated chemical agent that I'm not aware of, because I prefer to see the crossed-out 's' as a quick sketch of DNA.
I was going to say "At least they didn't spell it with an S", but....
Somewhat in the writer's defence couldn't the 'S' have been a first attempt at a '$', subsequently deemed misplaced?

Reminds me of the time that I picked up a couple of shifts in a coffee shop to make some extra money for Christmas. A 19 year old girl was working, and had posted a memo for the boss, requesting Oct 31,32 and 33 off. When it was pointed out to her - she changed it to Oct 31, 32 and Nov 1. There was even a calendar posted inches away. Needless to say, she didn't get any time off....
no it says "gearl" like "girl get some cearl!" lol man the longer i look at it the harder it is for me to remember how to spell cereal.
