Wild turkey chases the light from a laser pointer
I've seen videos of cats, dogs, a spider, and a drunk doing this, but the turkey is new for me. I think I'll take a pointer with me the next time I hike the arboretum.
I also found out that fish chase the dot when I heard my six year old saying "Here fishy, fishy." He was pointing the laser from my laser level into our fish pond. I immediately hit upon the idea of a laser fishing lure and in investigating it on the web found that it has already been done. Patented as well. Laser Lure, operating out of Florida.
Never thought city life's immediate access to rats would prove entertaining but rats really, really want to nom on the laser's focal point (they'll jump after it with almost as much gusto as cats will).
Raccoons have tended to show slightly less interest but will still give chase (for a short distance, anyway).
Awesome video, but I thought I'd let you know that the video box obscures the text in Safari 5.0.3. :( Formatted fine in Chrome, though!
ReplyDeleteI found out by accident that fish will try to eat the red dot. If you have fish in a tank Try it. I know goldfish do, not sure of others.
