Some in the business world object to the the limits, saying it will be hard to attract the best talent without traditionally high salaries.
“That is pretty draconian — $500,000 is not a lot of money, particularly if there is no bonus,” James F. Reda, founder and managing director of James F. Reda & Associates, told the New York Times.
Considering their performance of late, a half million dollars would seem a bit excessive.
