I know that I've said a number of times that I'm not a Jon Stewart fan...but these two clips were great. I may ejected from the ranks of Conservatism for saying this, but there IS a place for regulation in our markets. I've said before that the federal government must act as referees for our financial, economic, and energy systems, promoting smart action and fair play. Elizabeth Warren did really well in the discussion.
Of course, applying regulation to the financial industry isn't "socialism". And from the beginning of the discussion it was fairly apparent that the Department of the Treasury hasn't bought enough copies of Quicken or even Excel. Thank God Obama hasn't seized the banks. Can you imagine the Department of the Treasury running things?
