Long-distance macro lens

Due to hit the shops next year, the Laowa 24mm f/14 Relay 2x Macro lens has a rather long lens barrel that Laowa says can be used to shoot shy subjects at difficult spots without scaring them.

  1. Nature photographers for years have been using extension tubes on extreme telephoto lenses to get high magnification with good distances. To give you an idea, a 500mm lens with a 50mm extension tube will give you a full frame shot of a dragonfly at around 25 feet. One to one magnification at five feet.
