Are you paying too much for marijuana?
The Price of Weed is a new website that crowdsources the street value of marijuana. Their blog indicates that they will be expanding coverage to Europe soon.
Legalize the stuff and the price would decrease to $5.00 to $7.50 per ounce. And, more importantly, a lot of the drug cartels would be out of business. Does no one remember the 1930s?
The government won't legalize weed because then the pharmaceutical companies would go out of business. So instead of wanting to help their citizens (since pot treats so many illnesses), they would rather make billions in over-priced drugs
It would be great to see the data they collect used in comparison with crime rates and other stats. There's a strong relationship between the price of heroin and crime levels (heroin provision decreases crime, and yet we pay the police to try ineffectively to push the price up...) and I've heard from policemen who deal with plenty of people stealing to buy pot. They believe that lower prices would mean less crime.
well its far superior to cotton, timber (1/3 the cost to produce paper of much higher quality), Huge threat to Big Pharma, the seeds are the most complete fertilizer known to man and the oil was used as a fuel till the late 1920's. SO if you think it is illegal because it is "bad for you" you swallowed it hook line and sinker.Timber Cotton Big Pharma Fertilizer and Oil companies completely threatened by this plant, but hey look over there see its bad for you dont stare at the big pink elephant in the room...

ReplyDeletethose who would have spent 1,000s of dollars for pot would have more money to purchase other items. A big win for the economy any way you look at it.

Riiiight. THAT'S why.
I can remember buying good weed for $220 a kilo. I guess that's why I drink cheap vodka now.
