Adaptive Eyewear


This is an truly impressive innovation -- Harry Potter-style glasses with expandable lenses attached to syringes full of oil. The user "inflates" or deflates the lens until the refractive index compensates for the user's visual defects.

I was immediately reminded of the non-electric refrigerator and the merry-go-round water pump. Low-tech, inexpensive solutions to common problems. Bravo to the developers.
