Appalachian Trail thru-hike
The world probably already has enough hiking videos, but I thought this one was nicely done in that it doesn't overlay unnecessary commentary, and even better it is formatted as a series of vignettes rather than a compressed timelapse.
Oh my! Thank you for posting this. I thru-hiked in 1994, when carrying a cell phone was something that only or the old rich guys did, and purists argued against it. (With the lack of towers back then it was pretty much useless most of the way anyway.) The scenes, the memories... Everyone's journey is uniquely their own, but some of the iconic places haven't changed. I have almost forgotten how hard it was, so I'm almost ready to do it again in a few years as a retirement present to myself.
Take it from a successful Appalachian Trail through-hiker, this is the best AT video ever: https://vimeo.com/20218520
ReplyDeleteThat video made my brain hurt.
DeleteI've never done the whole thing, but I recognize several stretches and places.
