It was terribly sad for those of us who enjoyed Dilbert in years past to find that he'd grown so twisted and delusional in his old age. There's no excuse for Trump; anyone who still supports a man who has been actively working to undermine American democracy, including allying himself with (and only with) dictators is no longer worth admiring. It's kind of like when we all enjoyed Michael Jackson's music -- but couldn't anymore once we found out he was a pedophile who had abused children.
I still enjoy Michael Jackson's music, so I guess that makes me 0-for-2. Three, if you include Mel Gibson's movies. Probably many more. I can separate admiring a person's art/skills/accomplishments from approving of their personal behavior.
FWIW, Scott Adams is a Trump apologist.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am totally aware of that.
DeleteIf Scott Adams and Dilbert were history, it would only matter sentimentally.
DeleteBut he is currently active and any support for Dilbert helps Trump.
