Hiroshima only one lifetime later
A comment at the via suggests that this outcome was possible because the bomb exploded in the air, not on the ground, and the radioactive elements were likely dispersed widely.
Anyone in favor of nuclear weapons should be required to spend a day in Peace Park in Hiroshima, and especially in the museum. The museum purposely does NOT hold back on the horror of what happened as a prevention tool for future use of nuclear weapons. It is quite effective. It is very hard to come out of there untouched.
The only other museum that is as intense is the Holocaust museum in Washington, DC. Similar motivations.
We must never forgot the horrors of either World War lest we repeat them.
