I'm going to close this year's blogging by highlighting the phrase above. It is a wonderful anodyne for any hurt (real or imagined) that you experience.
Repeat the phrase to yourself whenever you are injured, your sports team is defeated, your finances are compromised, your marriage goes through a rough patch, or news stories on the internet are depressing.
Best wishes to all for a better 2010.
Happy New Year, to Stan and all the followers of TYWKIWDBI (however you may pronounce it!). May your year be peaceful and healthy, and may continual improvement brighten your horizons.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year from me, too. You are right, it could have been worse. It is so simple and logical really, but we (I at least) never think this way so we are (I am) forever moaning about everything.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first heard a fellow teacher say, "Never complain; never explain," I thought it was so wise and began using it with my children. Not until much later did I discover it is attributed to Disraeli, twice Prime Minister of the UK in the 1800's.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! 2010 is going to be better, you just wait and see.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to all of you!
ReplyDeleteA very happy, fun-filled, successful, delicious, prosperous, exciting, healthy and satisfying 2010! May the next decade be filled with love, peace, happiness and yummy food and drink for all!
