Civics lessons in old comic books

Found in three of my old comic books from 1958-1960.

  1. shopping manners - one i have noticed is a shopper stopping their shopping cart in the middle of the aisle between the two shelves, holding on to the cart handle with one hand, while shopping items on the shelf; in effect, they are blocking the aisle (there is very little room to pass them on the other side) as if to stop anyone from getting ahead of them.

  2. Wanted a pal: "Gee willikers, Bob: that's the most useless bit of 'advice' I ever heard. You and Jerry had a great time in some other place, some other time. I don't see how to mobilise that anecdote to solve my own despondency"
