How cherries are harvested. And walnuts.

    Note, since its hard shelled they let the nut fall to the ground, and then it is swept up.

    In this case, note the use of a mechanical "reverse umbrella" fruit catcher. That speeds things up instead of having to have workers spread a catcher under each tree.

  2. Pecan trees are also shook for their fruit, I would expect other crops are also harvested this way..... just can't think of any others at the moment.
