  1. Being of a certain age my "friends" are mostly concerned about my Medicare status.

  2. I just bought a new car and it's amazing that instantaneously, I started getting calls about car warranties. How is it public knowledge that I bought a car? And what my phone number and address are?

    1. I don't believe it is the dealership that is responsible. I suspect your registration of a license plate may be public information. Some reader here will know.

  3. I am "of an age," and have never owned a car. Yet I get these calls almost weekly... what I greatly enjoy is speaking softly while holding the phone a few inches away from my mouth and asking if they can hear me... then screaming as loudly as I can (which is pretty loud) and again asking if they hear me. It's just something that brings me joy.

  4. It doesn't matter whether your car is new or not. My cars range from 1997 to 2005, and they still want to sell me a warranty.

  5. I'm offered a complimentary cruise at least twice a day. Most times i screen the call and hang up. When I'm up to it, I answer in persona and let them hang up. Last week I was Aileen Wuernos for 10 minutes before the poor scammer ended the call.
