Not for me at my age, thank you, because of the apparently small margin for error if an animal emerged from the woods or a tree branch fell. It may also be speeded up slightly because 10km in 3+ minutes would be about 170 km/hr (106 mph). But it looks like fun for adrenaline junkies with good health care coverage.
We just got back from a trip to Switzerland, and - in the ski areas - those sleds are everywhere. We saw relatively few of the plastic sleds in the video. Most of the sleds we saw were the traditional wooden ones. And I can confirm they are not just for kids; adults ride them all the time. We walked a trail from one town to another (Gimmelwald) and were passed a couple times by kids and adults on wooden sleds.
