I feed my ants potato chips, cheese duuddles, doritoes, kobasa - they don't seem to mind the salt, and depending on what it is, will crowd feed.
'My ants' are the ones that live beneath the flagstones by my front steps, on which I sometimes sit, with a snack, and share with the ants and the crows.
