The hyperbolic description comes from a Twitter feed, but the ominous implications of high youth unemployment in terms of social unrest are certainly real.
Why would any unattached person (read: young adult) work in Spain or Greece when they can make twice as much in Germany? I bet what we're seeing is that the young people remaining in Spain and Greece are either attached (caregivers, handicapped) or don't want jobs.
I would like to see what the U.S. looks like.
