Why? Seeing exotic animals, especially big cats, in domestic homes makes me so irritated. I doubt that cat is at a legitimate sanctuary seeing as how it is in a tub. Ridiculously neglectful, not only is this cruel to the animal but the parent seems selfish enough to allow their child around a wild animal that could potentially harm or kill the girl. Very stupid.
Anon, I would not consider this likely to be "domestic home" - note the drawers under the tub and the anaesthesia equipment (tubing for a mechanical ventilator).
I would bet this is a veterinary office or animal rescue center of some sort.
I don't perceive any evidence of cruelty to the animal. If they're undertaking dental work, for example, they are showing a lot of kindness.
