Subtypes of sea-beans

I remember finding one on a beach in Florida during my childhood.  Apparently this fellow has collected 34,000 of them and presented his data here.  If my embedded image doesn't supersize enough, you might try the source image at Reddit.

  1. Book: Sea-Beans from the Tropics, by Ed Perry and John V Dennis.

I wrote a long personal experience on sea beans, but the internet swallowed it without apology. I'm too old and useless for internet, but I love this web site, it's author and the things I learn by checking in. Otherwise the internet and my long informative reply is gone, I'm not about to try again.

  2. Practically nothing is lost in the internet. If you can provide a title of your written piece, we can find it! or an authors name? or anything other than 'my long informative reply is gone'.

  3. Well I learned something new today, however many years old I am, as the kids say. I've seen them on beaches and never really paid attention (they weren't shells or rocks, lol) so now I will have to watch the next time I go.
