I don't have a photo of an Easter lily to share, but will offer this photo of crocus currently popping up through the leaf litter in the woods out back. And this poem (hat tip to reader Marlys Hesch Sebasky):
"First a howling blizzard woke us,Then the rain came down to soak us,And now before the eye can focusCrocus."--Lilja Rogers
The first signs of spring bring joy!

the bees, where are your bees? when my crocuses start blooming, and then that first really warm day happens, like 50 to 60+ F, the bees are all over the crocuses, like they have not eaten all winter! i guess they have not had any fresh nectar in a while? i just stand near the flowers, and listen to the buzz, and smile!
