as a kid, i heard big band music in supermarkets and elevators, which was the music of the older generation, being the music they heard when they were kids (or teens). we are now the 'older generation'. I-)
Over here some radio stations radically switched from Folk-music, Chansons and the like, to hits from the 50's up to the 80'S and I find myself rocking out in the car to radio stations I used to instantly skip.

Older. :D Disconcertingly, my wife and I were watching television a few years ago (sort of a rare thing) when a commercial for a cruise ship line came on using Iggy Pop's "Lust For Life". My heart sank as I realized I was not the target demographic for a cruise line.
