"These are the values inspiring those brave workers in Poland ... They remind us that where free unions and collective bargaining are forbidden, freedom is lost." - Ronald ReaganThe words come from Reagan's 1980 Labor Day speech, during which he reminded listeners that he was president of his union (the Screen Actors Guild).

This just demonstrates how hypocritical Reagan could be. Isn't it true that he persecuted unions harshly during his days in office, not inforcing the law over companies that fired unionised workers?
ReplyDeleteAmerican unions from the private sector are being demolished since the IIWW, but in the Reagan years, they were persecuted like never before.
Reagan also fired all the air traffic controllers when they took union action.
ReplyDeleteAnd finally, Reagan also dedicated a shuttle launch to those brave mujahadeen fighting for freedom in Afghanistan.
