Selected from a collection of about a hundred images at Widelec. Unfortunately none are identified. But there are some spectacular photos at that link.
My first thought when I saw the top photo was that it was a toxic waste runoff from mines, but as I looked closer I decided it's autumn foliage lining that valley; what a magnificent trip a ride on that river would be. But where is it? Alaska? Russia? (Click to enlarge any of these.)
The second appears to be alpine - Swiss? Austria? Italy? (Update: identified by "Daniel" in the comments section to be Lauterbrunnen (Switzerland). Pix here.)
The third one is Bora Bora.
And finally a well-planned and seemingly posh island. Looks larger than the typical thousand islands in the St. Lawrence Seaway. One of the ones near Stockholm, perhaps? Any suggestions welcomed. (Update: again, identified by Daniel as Star Island, in Biscayne Bay, off the coast of Florida, pix here.)
If you like these, there are many more to enjoy.
I can help a little - the second picture is of Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. I agree, it is awe-inspiring.
ReplyDeleteThe fourth photo appears to be Star Island in Miami, FL. Shaquille O'Neal has a house there along with many other wealthy people.
