When I saw this headline (and other versions of it on other news sites), I went ballistic.  I'm an old English major with an enormous vocabulary, but even with those credentials I don't think if I spent all day I could find enough words to express how deeply I despise this utter catastrophe of a president.

Fortunately I have something saved up, copied from Facebook several weeks ago.  I didn't post it here because I do try to keep the conversation civil, but now the gloves are off.  And anyone who comments on this post expressing support for Trump will get a perma-ban.

Heck, I might as well add this -

I always thought he was Netanyahu's bitch, but maybe Putin is more likely.

  1. In America, the police can burst into your house in the middle of the night without identifying themselves then kill you or your loved ones - murdered for having done nothing. And when it turns out the police had the wrong address, nobody will be punished for it nor policies changed. But the "people" at the highest levels of government commit heinous crimes like theft, rape and treason, they get rewarded. Because that's the way we roll, quite often, in the land of the free.

  2. "We don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia."
    - Eric Trump

"Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets [...] We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia."

  3. I must say I found angry Stan kind of jarring at first read, but I kind of like him.

  4. I was thinking about the Kornetzke piece and had a little spidey sense moment that caused me to look him up. Sometimes things are a little TOO on point with my personal view. While I agree whole heartedly at the commentary, it's difficult to find any original source info for it and I fear it might be a fabrication.

For what it's worth, Facebook is a cesspool like so much of social media these days. I always try to find the original, or at least a secondary, source when I can.

    1. You're not the only one who doubted it. This article calls the entry a "masterclass of AI slop." =

    2. Speaking as a Brit, the "prize hog at a county fair" phrasing didn't sound genuinely British to me. However, I do hold that we Scots have the finest turn of phrase for Donny. For example, "Tiny-Fingered, Cheeto-Faced, Ferret-Wearing Shitgibbon". ( //medium.com/extra-extra/30-nasty-british-nicknames-for-donald-trump-you-wont-be-hearing-on-the-bbc-6a99e294856b ) What's your favourite?

  7. Guess what else happened in 1987!

"Trump stated in a 2002 New York Magazine interview that he had known Epstein for 15 years, placing their initial acquaintance around 1987,..."

  8. I've always wondered what Russia/Putin has on him. Because his foreign policies always align with whatever Russia wants. And it's weird, because the man knows no loyalty. Except to Putin. It must be something very very strong.

    1. A common speculation (and it's only that) is that his amorous adventures as a youthful multimillionaire led him into a honeytrap (perhaps with video documentation) set up either secretly by a government or openly in conjunction with Epstein.

    2. The Russians specialise in the use of children in such operations, which is extra worrying.

    3. Always aligns with what...Russia wants?
-In October 2025, Trump imposed sanctions on Rosneft and Lukoll (Russian oil producers) because Russia failed to commit to peace negotiations regarding Ukraine.
-Trump has used tariffs as a sanction against countries who continue to trade with Russia, especially for oil.
-Trump has intercepted several oil tankers from Russia headed for Cuba.
-Trump allowed the sale of US Javelin missiles to Ukraine. I believe these are anti-tank missiles, which Obama declined to sell to Ukraine.
-Trump worked to stop completion of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which was to provide Europe with Russian natural gas.
-Trump continued economic sanctions started by the Biden Administration to deny Russia access to some $450B in assets that are held in banks in G7 nations.
According to the NY Times, "U.S. sanctions targeting Russian oil giants and financial sectors have severely pressured the Russian economy, forcing oil sales to be discounted and creating significant budget deficits, according to reports. These measures, which placed 80% of Russian oil output under restriction, caused a more than 40% year-over-year revenue plunge in February 2026, contributing to a $43 billion deficit, or over 90% of the anticipated 2026 total."
Trump is leaving a stain on our nation that will take some time and work to erase, but the proclamation that he "always" bows to Russia is not truthful.

  9. Okay. Now draw me a picture of how America recovers. Let's say there's someone behind all this. Might be Russia, might be Israel, might be the "gnomes in Zurich" or some similar big money group.

They've bought both American political parties, effectively have complete control of mass AND social media and have both the legislature and a Constitution that protects lying and deceit like a firstborn. Facts currently have no value in America.

I don't think this is even a Trump thing. The history of America has been a slow slide towards Authoritarianism since it was founded. The fate of the nation is often decided by the Supreme Court, a few men and women with lifetime appointments. The police force and the military are laws unto themselves. It's virtually impossible to sue an American police officer or charge an American service member with war crimes.

None of this started in the 80s.

Not a "gotcha" question, just genuinely, how do you change this, when the whole system is so clearly set up to expedite it?

    1. I would dearly like to see any evidence you have supporting the idea that the Democratic Party is in any way influenced by external nations or powers. You are committing a false-equivalency fallacy. Yes, the Democrats are very far from perfect. But they do not compare to the scum on the Republican side. Just as jaywalking and murder are both crimes, but one is far, far worse than the other.

But I'm going to be fair and open-minded, and allow you to prove your claim, because burden of proof is on you. 'They', whoever 'they' are, have 'bought both American political parties'. OK, fine claim. Now prove it.

I'm willing to bet you can't, even if I do agree with many of your other points.

  10. BREAKING NEWS: We now know who the other President he was talking about that said he should have gone to war with Iran. It was President 45. Oh wait, is old Dunderhead talking to himself again?

Maybe this story is correct and we may not have to deal with this guy either https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/putin-coughing-health-leaked-video-kremlin-b2936025.html
