This may be an old puzzle, but it's the first time I've seen it. At the start there is a pawn in the LR corner, which needs to be moved to the far rank to get promoted to a queen; then the queen needs to be moved to the LL corner. Good luck. Feel free to post your times in the Comments.

ReplyDeleteFirst attempt was 167 seconds and 51 moves, including a lot of backing up. Attempts 8-10 were 25 moves at 68, 54, and 40 seconds respectively.

ReplyDelete3rd (and last attempt): 30 moves in 39s.
Moving the bishops to lower corners helped reduce the number of moves needed form the first attempt. I enjoyed this puzzle. Thanks for sharing!
