Family activities, graduations and reunions take precedence every June, so after the final photo-at-the-top-of-the-page post, I'm going to stop for about a week.
I'll use this opportunity to remind everyone that while I'm gone you can browse the archive of 18,348 old posts linked in the right sidebar, sorted by topic. Or you can get a life, as I'm trying to do...
Some of us are still not vacationing due to Covid. Ok, I'll be backpacking, but not staying in a hotel, flying on a plane, or eating at a restaurant. Perhaps that counts.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time, we'll certainly be here when you get back.

what right sidebar?
ReplyDeleteHe's probably reading the blog on a phone. I ought to write a post about this.
DeleteI'm on a desktop, and the sidebar seems to be missing today.
ReplyDelete???? !!!! I have no idea what's going on. After I read and approved your comment, I went to the home page and saw no sidebar. Then I went to this post to reply, and the sidebar appeared. Now it's back on the main page. The sidebar seems to be glacially slow to load, which I would readily blame on my computer, but not if it's happening to you. I hope nobody's pranking me.
DeleteThe problem seems to be coming from https://www.linkwithin.com/widget.js -- using the browser to inspect the network traffic when I load the page, this link took over 75 seconds to time out, then the sidebar loaded. It's been this way for quite a while for me.
DeleteInteresting discovery, HJ. At the moment I can't access that widget ("... timed out... site took too long to respond"), so I don't know what it is and whether I can modify it. I'm guessing it's the old clustrmaps analytics, which I can certainly do without.
DeleteIt's been over a week and I'm going through withdrawal. :>)
ReplyDeleteprobably resuming tomorrow
