They hope other young families will consider their example with a plentiful supply of medieval ghost towns. They also feel drawn to save the rich architectural heritage of artisanal stonework dotting villages throughout the Alps, and beyond."This is a long video, but a relaxing and uplifting one to watch. Even if you skip through with the slider, it will still be impressive.

That's cool, but only possible if the ruin in question is not under some form of historic preservation. And most ruins are.
