Trump's ICE goons have been arresting UNITED STATES CITIZENS without cause, just on suspicion because of the color of their skin or their last names. These cards are intended for UNITED STATES CITIZENS. Take off your MAGA had and get off of faux news to find out why ordinary American citizens are frightened and scared to leave the3 house or go to work for fear they will be assaulted by the police.

Minnesotastan, Being arrested and detained is not illegal if there is suspicion and cause to do so. Like it or not, ICE is doing their job....just like they did under Biden's administration. The difference is that the media didn't make a big deal about it because it was not Trump. I'm not MAGA, just a citizen who is looking at this without the TDS goggles on.
DeleteTo one of the Anon commenters, I don't believe that ICE agents are violating rights of legal citizens by merely arresting them. If the agent needs to conduct an investigation to determine the correct course of action, then that may happen. If people would let them do their job rather than standing in their way and threatening them, there would probably be fewer mistakes made.

All US law is derived from the rights in the Constitution. If the rights don't apply to everyone, then the law doesn't apply to everyone. I don't think you want me start going around ignoring the law as a non-citizen.
If fact, as a US citizen, you WANT your Constitution and derived laws to apply to me. Because you WANT me not to murder you without penalty. And you WANT me to pay taxes (without representation).
@ Stan: These cards apply to everyone in the US: Citizen and immigrant, documented or not. Everyone has the same rights.

Unrelated: The advice that you should have a lawyer on hand is a great example of "environmental bias". The lawyers that wrote can not imagine not having a lawyer nearby. But the people that need a lawyer generally don't even know where to get one.
