I competed with some high school friends in the Great Port Townsend Kinetic Sculpture race back in the late 90s. Our tank-like mobile was way too heavy, had to use the Official Push Rope to get it up the hill (with appropriate bribery). Then the ratchet-drive broke on the right side, had to push it the last mile or two... We won Most Time, Most Help, and the Artsy Fartsy Award. Which was a large driftwood sculpture of a mosquito, hanging from the ceiling of the VFW Hall. I think we won because they didn't want to bother getting it down. Good times.
Ahhhhhhhh...
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving me something to smile about today. Long may the free spirits race.
ReplyDeleteHumans are amazing. Great find!
ReplyDeleteHas there ever been an era such as ours which is so self-focused, narcissistic, and attention-seeking? https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3n2gez
ReplyDeleteI've seen these guys at Bay Area Maker Faire. A bunch of total weirdos. They are awesome.
