"So many people falling for it - every few minutes I can hear loud yelling coming from the print room."The Reddit thread had links for other brands of photocopiers (and for a Coke machine and various other pranks) fourteen years ago, but those have undergone linkrot. This is the only one I saved.
I love it. I'm waiting for a coworker to leave his desk so I can drop an anonymous 'sorry I scratched your truck' note, and then watch him go nuts looking for the scratch.
ReplyDeleteExchange the N and M keys on someone's keyboard. Watch them go nuts if they have either in their password......
ReplyDeleteTaking humor seriously is how bloated HR departments now justify their existence. Somewhere along the line pranks became harassment and/or terrorism. Thank those who invent terms like "micro-aggression." The office has been sterilized and lobotomized. Still funny...even if in theory. (Happy to be challenged by anyone currently working in a corporate or government office environment.)
ReplyDeleteAnd when he finds a scratch and comes back looking for you... all I'm saying is wear track shoes.
ReplyDeleteI'll admit I'm one of those horrible people who finds the majority of most "pranks" unfunny. You make someone else suffer (even if for a relatively short time) for your own amusement. Make someone look a fool and get laughed at, or waste their time (and in today's tight-money state, worry about that) so you can chuckle. I'm sure there are "jokes" that both sides will actually find funny, but they are in short supply.
