  1. Great fun but they really go down hill at the end.

    23: Hot and numbing soup. I've had that soup. It's exactly as described: spicy and yet tongue numbing. For the first few spoonfuls at least, after that, pure pain. I've never had anything like it.
    24. Drunken trotter. It's cooked in wine, makes perfect sense to me.
    25. Wife cake. It's called wife cake in Chinese.
