Yes. I think the diagram is fake. Of course there are lots of heavy vehicles with high and low ranges, gear splitting, etc.. But I do not believe that is a representation of the physical shift pattern.
58 years ago the local hot shots were driving dump trucks with a 9 speed transmission and 3 speed rear for 27 forward and 3 reverse. Hot shoeing empty, when they wanted to show off, they would be shifting every 3 or 4 seconds. xoxoxoBruce

How do you get it in reverse?
ReplyDeleteBeing able to go from 3rd to 12th without going through neutral doesn't make any logical sense.
