Freshwater jellyfish at Leech Lake in northern Minnesota

I've been visiting Leech Lake for over 60 years and have never seen (or known about) this phenomenon. Posted for all my friends up there.

  1. In the video, he says they came from Japan and then that they are not invasive. Isn't that the 'definition' of invasive - coming from somewhere else to some place they normally aren't?

p.s. I don't think I would want to swim in any lake that has those - the water looked pretty yucky with some many of them in it. Even if they only sting a little bit, yuck!
