Powerwashing NYC
I'm sure it's wet and grimy and unpleasant in inclement weather, but there must be a certain satisfaction in a job that involves powerwashing. (pic via)
When Downing street was being renovated (rebuilt really) in the 60's they discovered that it wasn't black at all and had to paint it to maintain its "real" colour.
In my opinion this is also a problem with St Patrick's in New York. The recent works have left it scrubbed with in an inch of its life, it doesn't so much look new as like a theme park model of itself.
