I'd like to do this again, so here are the instructions:
In the comment section to this post, give me a link to a photo (or a bit of artwork or other image) that you have in your blog, or in your Flickr photostream or in some other online storage site (I'll go there and copy it). If you don't have any images saved online, you can email me a photo (retag4726 (at) mypacks.net) - but please compress what you send with JPEG so my emailbox doesn't get plugged with multiMB images.
The picture can be of you, or your family, or your computer, or your cat, or whatever - it doesn't matter. This will be a New Year's greeting-type post, but you can use Christmas-themed images if you like. I really enjoy when people submit pix of themselves because I do wonder what all of you are like.
In the comment, with the link write a brief (25 words max) greeting, directed to the other readers and visitors (not a comment on TYWKIWDBI).
Sign with the avatar name you use in commenting here, or in your blog, or your real name if you wish. I reserve autocratic right to edit comments and trim pictures if they are too big, to limit the number if there are too many, and to vaporize anything that hints of spam or might be offensive to other readers. (And maybe we could leave all Trump-related stuff out, thank you).
I'll assemble your submissions into a collective post similiar to the one in January 2015, and I'll post it around New Years.
BTW, it's probably self-evident, but the reason I placed all the info in the Comments section rather than in the body of the post is that I want to keep it away from the spammers who would submit business cards for Packers and Movers Mumbai etc, and because the best readers of this blog are the ones who go beyond the post to read (and add to) the comments.

Old pic in honor of those who, for country or for service to humanity, can't be at home this holiday season.
Not quite minnesotastic myself, but grew up in northern Wisconsin and da UP so I speak the language. Merry everything, Peace and goodwill shared by all.
These are excellent! Keep 'em coming. I'm on blogcation, but will continue to monitor the thread here and add the comments and pix to the celebratory post.

What a ghastly year it's ben for many of us! May the next one be better. The pic is of my husband when he was young and alive though h is now unexpectedly dead.

Back in 2009 I created at "collective Christmas card" for TYWKIWDBI by assembling a group of photos submitted by readers:
ReplyDeletehttp://tywkiwdbi.blogspot.com/2009/12/collective-christmas-greeting-card.html
I thought the result was rather nice, but didn't get around to repeating the effort until 2015, when I did it for a New Year's greeting:
