At the Gem & Jewelry Show at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, you walk in and are completely blown away by the sheer number of freshwater pearls. Not all are perfect but string after string, thousands and hundreds of thousands times, and you start thinking each one had to be grown, harvested, sorted and get a hole drilled in them. Awesome.
