Hm. So a little research shows that the average daily wage in 1910 was $3. The average daily wage for 2009 is $162. (Assuming 250 work days per year.) The dresses in the ad are about 2/3 to 1 day's wages. In proportion to modern income, that'd be roughly $108 to $160 for a dress. Which actually sounds about right for a good quality dress. Interesting.
