The Four Tops - Baby I Need Your Lovin'
When I was a senior in college in 1968, a Four Tops album provided our signature party music. "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)", "It's the Same Old Song", "Shake Me, Wake Me (When It's Over)", "Reach Out I'll Be There", "Standing in the Shadows of Love", "7-Rooms of Gloom", and "Bernadette" were all on the album, along with the one embedded above. They bring back many pleasant memories.
So many thoughts brought to mind.
ReplyDeleteThe homely girls with barrettes in their hair and the dorky, rhythmless boys in birth control glasses. They all needed some lovin', too.
Also, so many people heard it not as Bernadette, but as Burnt to Death.
Haha, this was me and my roomate's party music in our senior year of college.. in 2003
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a greatest hits album to me because those songs were across a few albums.
Great music is timeless.
